Splash Of Colour
This workshop is about using your creative skills to experiment with different paints, colours and music. Our learners experience remarkable progress and a large number of pieces are on public display. There is even talk of an exhibition in the near future!
This workshop is about using multiple creative arts and activities centred on ‘you’ and exploring the things you enjoy doing. By completing these activities on a regular basis, you can help yourself overcome personal challenges more easily, build on your strengths and gain more confidence. This workshop provides the opportunity to acquire new skills which can be used in your daily life, as well as the work place, if that is your goal.
This is a drop in session for anyone that needs support with CV and cover letter writing, job searching, filling in applications, interview skills or interview clothing. We can also provide 1-2-1 sessions if you book in advance.
This workshop teaches you basic computer skills, touch typing and Microsoft Office. It also enables you to feel more comfortable navigating the internet, staying safe online and using email and other popular services, e.g. eBay.
This workshop will take place on an allotment made up of five plots. It is a chance to learn new skills and enjoy the outdoors; this will include planting seeds and watching your fruit/veg grow. You might even be able to take some home with you!
Managing Mental Health
This is a peer support group which shares ways of coping with and improving mental health. A number of our learners have used this workshop as a stepping stone to a qualification in Mental Health First Aid, also delivered by Training Now.
Make the most of living in Eastbourne and join us for a healthy walk along the seafront. When possible this will also include a group activity! Meet at the pier first at 11am.
This workshop is delivered by a professional and aims to increase your online confidence and improve your overall understanding and involvement in social media, like Facebook and Twitter. It aims to empower the individual and help them find an online community or peer support group.
Meditation is probably one of the most effective ways of reducing stress and improving health. With practise it brings calm, peace, clarity and balance back into our lives. It works in helping to reduce tension in the body and raising awareness by creating a state of deep rest. With regular meditation our day to day existence is transformed and our quality of life improved.
Learners will use their creative skills to make beautiful cards and gift boxes for all occasions. Learners can also create home decorations.
Knitting and Sewing
This workshop is suitable for those who are beginners or experienced. It will include developing practical skills that you will be able to use at home to repair ripped clothing and replace buttons.
This workshop is delivered by a business expert and aims to increase your skills and knowledge in areas of new start-ups and self-employment. It is suitable for those entering or thinking about entering self-employment or permitted work.
